The Department of Student Success at St. Philip’s College recently launched Student Lingo, a series of free, online video workshops designed to provide information and resources on topics critical to student success. The interactive workshops help students achieve and develop personal, academic and career goals. Training sessions are available to students 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

“We are excited to offer training opportunities to our students at times that are convenient for them. All students can benefit from increasing their knowledge and skills, the possibilities for success are endless,” said Dr. Angela McPherson Williams, Director of Student Success.

Student Life has customized 20 workshops that include student activities, links to additional resources and proof of completion. Student Lingo training certificates can be used on experience transcripts and résumés which can result in potential job, fellowship, internship or scholarship opportunities.

“Soft skills are critical to the success of the workforce and we want employers to know that our students are equipped and ready to represent them well,” said Williams.

Students can set up their free Student Lingo profile by visiting www.studentlingo.com/spc.
